A
twenty-eight year old patient reported with an
unsightly facial composite on his right central
incisor. It was decided that a porcelain jacket
was the restoration of choice. The before picture
shows customized shade tabs made to aid the
ceramist.
Matching a single central incisor is
one of the most challenging aspects of
restorative dentistry.
Communication between clinician and
technologist is critical.Previously, some
dentists would elect to crown both centrals,
rather than tackle a demanding case.
